Our Vision
We exist to build bridges across psychology education - from high school classrooms through graduate programs and university research labs.
Our goal is to provide educators and researchers a space to connect, share perspectives, and collaborate with local colleagues in ways that elevate the student experience.
Our Story
PsychBridge has evolved and unfolded via “100 cups of coffee,” a model recommended by a mentor in the early development stages.
Through over 70 conversations with colleagues, professional connections, friends, and former students, the Development Team emerged and shapes the project and its vision.
The initiative, inspired in part by the feel and spirit of the Clark/APA Conference funded by Dr. Lee Gurel, is further strengthened by grant funding via the American Psychological Foundation, dedicated to the development of regional psychology networks.
This support — made possible through a fortuitous chain of connections — will culminate in Dr. Gurel’s granddaughter delivering the opening remarks at our kickoff event.
This synchronicity reflects the larger spirit of PsychBridge: bringing people together at the right moment and in the right circumstances to positively impact the psychology community.
PsychBridge founder Nancy Diehl is a clinical psychologist, educator, and consultant with more than two decades of international experience across the United States, Asia and the Middle East.
Her work bridges teaching psychology, advancing wellness initiatives, and leading organizational change in educational and clinical settings. She thrives when connecting colleagues who might benefit from each others' expertise and team problem solving- in professional settings or outdoor adventures on land and sea.
